Steps for adding hardware

1. Scan network for master Access Portal Controllers (APC’s) and select the APC you want to install

2. Scan the non-ip bus of the selected APC to test that all your fixed addresses return (Cluster, S-bus and RS485 devices)

3. Optional: Scan the local network for any IP slave door controllers (DC’s) and select the units that need to report to the APC

4. Make a selection in the door selection area. When adding new doors, door creation can speed things up by automatically creating “Quick Doors” for you. If you un-tick this option your readers will be installed but they will not be allocated to a Quick Door. You will need to create new doors and then select your readers manually.

5. Install your hardware (this process will install the hardware into the database and assign logical address to each unit.

Once your devices have been installed, you will notice them in the Installed Section.
